An Automated Intelligent Design Tool through AI and ML in Residential Projects

2020-2021

In this project, an intelligent architectural design tool is presented that helps architects design houses in a new way and in less time. This structure includes two physical and digital user interfaces.
This tool gives architects the power to change their design while viewing the results and modifying them as needed.

An Automated Intelligent Design Tool through Intelligence Augmentation

2020

Artificial Intelligence is a field in which everything is done through data-driven methods; human intelligence can be simulated in a computer and then turned into algorithms that are capable of performing an action in the shortest possible time. In addition to AI, the Intelligent Augmentation (IA) approach emerged with computationally intelligent tools such as AI to strengthen human ability. In this proposal, an automated intelligent design tool is provided as an architectural tool (AIDT) which helps architects design homes in a novel way.

Residential Complex Design by Interactive Design Tool Through Multi-Objective Optimization Approach

2020-2021

This project is a residential complex that is designed by the AIDT tool. After choosing an essential strategy for designing spaces, much design and refining work needs to be done. Therefore, the search process does not end with selecting one of the designs found by the optimization algorithm. Instead, an extensive analysis of the different types of high-performance designs suggests a potential design strategy that the designer can select from among the proposed examples to achieve an optimal final design.

“NEXA Residential Complex Design” Competition

2020-2021

The main idea of this proposal is based on open spaces, which is a challenging point in design multi-stories residential complexes. The quality of open-air spaces in apartments depends on many parameters.

Tower Skin-Design Optimization Solution

2020

In this ‘post skin design optimization’ project, the new proposed skin of Albahr Towers (designed by Saam Kaviani) is a reconfigured in terms of the shape, size and cells density. This optimization process mostly focuses on users activities during working hours of the office floor during two periods:
9 am to 5 pm on the 21st of June and 4 pm to 5 pm on the 21st of September. These dates and periods are marked as “excessive” for this floor based on a separate research and analysis done on the Al-bahr Towers’ solar radiation gain in different months of the year.

High-Rise Building Facade Design

2018

The concept for designing this building is inspired by trees in nature.
When the wind flows, trees are stable in their location by their trunk, and just their leaves move. Their leaves can move in which direction that wind flows and protect the trees from uplifting loads. Like these leaves, the exterior skin of this building can be stable in its location and just change its gesture in which direction that wind flows.
